Signal space diversity (SSD) along with coordinate interleaving is proposed in this work to be integrated with OFDM‐SPM to help improve the overall BER performance, thus resulting in a performance improvement of more than 5 dB compared to conventional OFDM-SPM without SSD.

The authors propose the use of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) based equalizer for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with subcarrier power modulation (OFDM-SPM) in order to significantly improve its reliability performance.
